Christian Counseling for Grief

In this course you will learn a biblical approach to counseling people experiencing trial and grief. This is an excellent resource for training a team of people in your church who desire to participate in a compassionate care and counseling ministry under the direction of a Pastor and Biblical Counselor.

You will gain an understanding of what grief is as a tangled ball of emotions, the stages of grief, types of grief like normal, anticipatory, complicated, or disenfranchised.

You will study through "Healing Relationships: A Christian's Manual for Lay Counseling" by Steven Grunlan and Daniel Lambrides. A wonderful work that encourages us to know that lay believers armed with this course can be effective in helping 90% of the time.

You will understand the importance of connecting with licensed professionals and Biblical counselors who may be needed when you are in over your head in those situations where it is more complicated than your training can allow.

Successful graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and 25 hours of CEU.
