Our Mission

Our mission is to provide Christ-centered higher education that equips Christian chaplains and ministry leaders for effective spiritual and pastoral care through Clinical Pastoral Education and the Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Supervision, while also providing non-credit continuing education and certification training for Christian Chaplains & Coaching.

Our Vision

To be a trusted leader in Christ-centered higher education for chaplaincy, pastoral care, and pastoral supervision, preparing spiritually mature and professionally equipped Christian leaders to serve with biblical faithfulness, compassion, and excellence in diverse ministry and professional settings.

Non-Academic Programs

We offer a growing number of non-credit bearing courses and certification programs. These courses are excellent, high quality, Biblically sound. Certification in Chaplaincy, Christian Life Coaching, Prison Ministry, and other areas is offered by Christian Chaplains & Coaching. These courses and programs are designed to support the Chaplains, Pastors, and Friends of Christian Chaplains & Coaching.

Our Purpose

The purpose of The Chaplains Academy is to honor Christ by educating and forming

Christian chaplains, pastors, and ministry leaders who integrate biblical faith, theological reflection, spiritual formation, and professional practice. Through rigorous academic study and supervised ministry experience, we prepare students to provide competent, compassionate, and ethical spiritual and pastoral care and leadership in both Christian and secular settings.

The Chaplains Academy is committed to transparency, accountability, and continuous institutional improvement. We regularly review student enrollment, retention, program completion, graduation, and other measures of student achievement to evaluate the effectiveness of our academic programs and support informed institutional planning.

This page provides current and historical student achievement information for the Academy's credit-bearing academic programs. Data is reviewed and updated annually as part of our institutional assessment process.

Student Enrollment

The following data represents the unduplicated number of students enrolled in one or more credit-bearing courses during each academic year. Each student is counted only once during the academic year, regardless of the number of courses in which the student was enrolled.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, qualified CPE students completing CPE without the award of graduate academic credit will be tracked separately and will not be included in credit-bearing enrollment figures.

Student Retention and

Program Completion

The Chaplains Academy is a developing institution, and sufficient longitudinal data for comprehensive retention and program completion reporting is not yet available. The Academy is actively collecting and evaluating this information and will publish additional student achievement data as meaningful reporting periods are completed.

The Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Supervision currently has three graduates and four actively enrolled students. To date, no DMin student has withdrawn from the program.

Clinical Pastoral Education students are actively progressing through the four-course CPE sequence. The Academy anticipates additional students completing the full CPE program following the Fall 2026 term. CPE retention and program completion data will be published when sufficient cohort data is available.
